110 Hard Top Van or Not?
Can anyone in the UK with a 110 Hard Top tell me if it’s regarded as a van by HMRC please? My accountants are trying to tell me it won’t be but as I had a 14 plate Hard Top 90 that was I’m struggling to understand why the 110 wouldn’t be as that only has one row of seats, a cargo barrier and cargo space.

Hard Tops qualify as category N1 commercial vehicles.

Thanks Philip. Is there anywhere on the web I can direct the accountants to so they can get the info (apart from here!) ?

If you scroll down to "Finance Incentives" or search the page for "N1" its there. Hope that helps. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews

N1 doesn’t mean HMRC have officially accepted it as such, but given the Discovery commercial qualifies…

In my experience HMRC will not give prior "approval".
You just put the vehicle through your system and they either let it go or challenge it.
You don`t know the absolute outcome until after you are committed.
And I realise that that helps no-one!!!! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!
