It will be interesting to see if once production starts in France there is any increased "Frenchness" injected into the project.
One (or more) of the blue vehicles is often photographed with Union Jack and German flag on the side: But there's space for a 3rd flag, and I assume this is the Austrian one: |

So some hooks on the Alpine grab handles for strings of onions and a revised gearbox giving six reverse gears and one forward...... |

I always thought the reverse gear thing was attributed to Italian tanks? Although, given last night, that might come across as sour grapes right now.

Does anyone have any info on the Rosedale event next weekend?
Can anyone just turn up on the day and is it connected to a cycling event? I've been looking and can't find an exact match for "Rosedale Caravan Park", but 2 possibilities are 'Rosedale Abbey Caravan Park' or 'Rosedale Caravan and Camping Park' A comfortable cabin, auto gearbox and 300bhp sounds very appealing. Their PR team does need a bit of a kick up the arse - not doing the very basic things right at the moment...

At Newlands Corner the other week, the cycling event I am guessing was a Sportif. I.e turn up on a road bike, get a map and go…….so when we arrived at lunchtime to see the Grenadier, the cycling event had long gone…. They did not even have a couple of team Pinarello’s to drool over. The saving grace is that there has been a backlash over parking charges for open spaces so we did not have to pay £5 and only be there for half an hour…….. |

Can’t decide if it’s worth a run out to Rosedale. It’s a good 2 hours for me, but the nearest place on this tour. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

TBH, I wouldn't travel 2hrs both ways, just to see a vehicle that I can't sit in or drive.
But an hour is fine and it's close to the brewery at Cropton. http://www.newinncropton.co.uk/the-brewery/ |

It's only a prototype. Several of the prototypes that appear in photos have different fixtures and fittings. All are not production spec. So other than it would be nice to kick the tyres; it's a way off before you could make a reasonable buying decision based on a viewing.

Sadly I am away at the minute - only only 45 mins from me and I would have loved to have a proper look at one. Rgds. Chris |
