I have DRL'S on a 2.4 Puma. They come on when the ignition is on. As I have a connection to the side light they go off when the lights come on. As they do not dip they would blind on coming traffic at night. If you want them on all of the time don't connect them to the side light. Mine are Ring Aurora. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

87a is the normally closed side of the relay contacts.
