I'm all in favour of innovation and so on, but I'm not sure that I see how your design improves significantly on this, and by the time you've made it or had it made, I'll bet it is more expensive.

It doesn't improve anything very much, in all honesty. I suppose it reduces the drop below the crossmember by 2" as it deletes the receiver and adds a pair of fixed eyes close to in-line with the rails - but that's it.

Was just me having a play with some fancy software really - as mentioned its probably not the direction I'll be going in anyway.
