Specs seem to have changed for MY22 but one thing that hasn't is the head/fog lights - you don't really want the white plastic circle faking the LED DRL and you should have fog lights on a £50k+ car - on my MY21 S it 'was' only a £500 upgrade to fix that, I don't know on MY22 but on MY21 you could save a packet on the D200 engine instead of having to pay the a lot extra for the D250 minimum at SE Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history) |

I chose S spec for my D250 110 hard top. Spec was more than adequate, I was purchasing on a budget as I have some additions post purchase.
The matrix leds with fogs would have been be a nice addition. I’m sure the standard led lights will give plenty of illumination at night. Don’t get me wrong, the matrix leds do look cool. I went for the S spec and then added the signature lights and Meriden sound system. Didn't really need anything else (premium cabin lighting etc.) - but then I also went after some HSE bits and pieces, like the panoramic sun roof etc. I just looked at all the options and selected what I wanted - then tested what the best value was between the different trims. I started off with the base spec and worked my way upwards. In the end I settled on the S spec. But based on the new configurator I would need to go for an SE to get the D200 that I ordered now.

Yep the D200 SE is nearly £8k cheaper than a D250 SE That's why I've chosen the D200 SE Cheers Ian -------------------- 22MY Defender 110 D200 SE, Fuji White. Kielder 4x4 Safari Instagram @defender_v8 |

No not seats, I did have seats put in a D4 commercial I used to run, which were great. I have purchased this Defender to actually run as a van so need the space. I did think about seats but they would be down all the time. If I need to carry more people I’ll use the D5.
