Hello All
Standard Connector Seals Does anyone know if the little rectangular 'bellow seals' are available separately to buy? Click image to enlarge I'm missing one and have noticed that these sometimes 'fall out' when disconnecting either the side lights or indicators (they look to use the same type of connector). I'd like a few spares going forward. Swap to LED side and indicators + Fog and Reversing Lights On a separate but related subject, I plan to swap over to LED lights all round (not Headlights) on both the 90 and 110, with a requirement for a mixture of both 73 and 95mm options. The 110 is standard all round and the 90 is standard at the Front but is NAS sized at the Rear. My plan is to source replacement options that utilise the Standard Connectors + Wiring (all be it with the required Indicator Relay swap) My question is are the Standard Landrover Connectors (as above) good enough? or is there an upgrade and therefore potential justification to improve these also? I've had no issue so far apart from the 'little seals' that like to fall out... Thanks SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

The seals aren't available separately, no. Best off buying a handful of complete genuine connector kits as this gives you spares.
They aren't bad connectors really, it's the bulb holders/sockets (particularly early ones and the pattern copies) which give the problems. So I would standard connectors - as it means you can always refit the old or a standard replacement if needed. Fit male terminal housings to any lamps with hardwired cables. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
