I use one of these:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Facom-117-B-Wrenc...ref=sr_1_7 to hold the pulley, and the 36mm spanner I bought to remove the fan from my TD5 Disco. The BAS tool is many times cheaper than the Facom one, however, so the Facom only makes sense if you have other applications for an adjustable pin spanner (or simply love quality tools). An alternative might be one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XW7ZMXJ/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5 However these are also significantly more than the BAS tool and have the massive drawback of coming from the Wang Kee Tool Company or some such of China, the land of quality tools. |

or a sheet of 5mm or so metal with a cut out for the middle and two pins in it.
also a td5 spanner kit, such as that sold by difflock works on tdco if you insert two short bolts as studs in the holes of the td5 locking spanner Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Didn’t realise Pete did them. I’ll give him a bell in the morning and pop in for one.
Thanks all Col |

A piece of plywood and some dowel work well too.

More than happy to make something, but at £15 from Pete and him being local to me it’s not worth the time to make something up.
