Vehicle courier recommendations
I'm looking at having a lwb Series 2 moved from Horsham to Shropshire, whilst I know Shiply etc offer lots of options I'd prefer to use a company with a good track record if possible. Any recommendations? 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

Thanks Macman. I've just discovered that my local trailer hire now offer a MWB van with 2800kg towing capacity and a suitable (800kg) trailer which would give me a payload of 2000kg. Thinking this may be a sensible option.... 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

Shroppy, Presume you have B+E licence entitlement?

I would imagine the van might well have a tacho fitted but think you should be okay without using as long as you are hiring for personal use.

Cheers,

Yes I've got B+E on my license and it's a personal excursion. Very Happy I still need to digest the TD5 loom information you sent me, thanks Steve! 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

I've used Shiply a couple of times now for moving vehicles and generally comes in around the couple of hundred quid mark.
When I'd factored in fuel, trailer costs and time out it made sense to do it that way.

I've used lizard Logistics to move a car from one end of the country to the other, if you are not fussy about exactly when it is moved, the price can be quite cheap (ie if he can fit it in with a return load). Nice bloke and used to dealing with supercars and the like so is careful with the cars.
