Fog lights retrofit
Goodmorning everyone,
I own a Defender 90 d200 without front fog lights, I would like to do a retrofit.
I looked in the catalog I would need in addition to the fog lights LR130799, 2 different frames LR129436, the wiring, and the new combined switch LR146274, (same as that of evoque 2020 and discovery sport 2020).
what I was wondering is the matter of the wiring ....
under the left wheel arch there is a connector that powers all the wiring of the bumper front.
will the wires of the fog lights reach this connector?
I saw that this cable is part of the main wiring of the car, I think it is the same on all ...
then there is another question, when everything is installed, do I have to activate the system with pathfinder? or will they work?
I thank everyone for the help and I hope to take some nice pictures to post.
don't be offended by my awful english ...

Marco

Hello Marco,
I think you've figured it out.
Supposing the front main connector is all the same.
You can check your left handle by the steering wheel, towards the front it activate the front fogs, rear are the foglights behind.
If it will work, I think, but just try and let us know. No Mud flaps for my 90.!

I retrofitted the fogs. It’s a bitch in the arse!

You need the front parking sensor fog light harness. You need to pull most of the bumper off. You need a turn signal stalk with the front fog lights switch already in it. You need to pull your steering wheel. You need to run a signal wire from the front harness to the canbus bcm in the passenger footwell. You need to edit your ccf files with a defender with the fog lights and update your defender with the Bosch DOiP mastertech tool. You need to download pathfinder, hook up the tool, push your ccf changes. After all of that it will work. Oh also you need to run a chassis ground to the main fog light parking sensor harness too. You also need the fog lights. Also you need to dremel out the grille which covers the non fog cover so the fogs will shine through.

Hi Mark
thank you very much for your report.
I solved it by manufacturing a harness for the fog lights, connected everything to a relay and inserted a new button for ignition, your work is fantastic but here in Italy no one was willing to update my ccf with pathfinder, therefore impossible !! !!
