No, I don't think so. I've found the people on here to be helpful and friendly. Obviously, there's always going to be some creep bigging himself up and telling everyone to "get a life" but so what? C'est la vie. |

landy1984,
Can I suggest that if you find something offensive you say so on here and not resort to sending PMs threatening damage to someones vehicles. John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

Hello
I have been keeping a close eye on my MPG for the main reason, to see the difference between my TD5 DCPU 140k miles and my new TDCi DCPU, she only has around 7k miles on it now, when I first collected her it didn’t matter how I drove I got 25MPG now 7k later I’m getting 30.2MPG. I have seen over time the MPG improve. I will be interested, come winter to check again as I will be putting my steel wheels on with the Cooper STT, at the moment its on the standard continentals which will be no good for me come winter trying to get in and out of fields. And if you really want good MPG just let the wife drive….because it was her that got it to do 30.2MPG and she keeps reminding me, saying that she is a bloody good driver.

585 miles between fill ups
thats filling up at the service station.......in between I put a 10 ltr jerry can worth of home brew bio. so assuming this was a little over filled - say 11 ltrs. plus the 67 ltrs to fill back up then thats about...... 34 mpg. not too bad but considering how slow on the motorway this has been and how far the journeys have been on the motorway I'm not that impressed. I got 44 mpg out of a rrs running 100% bio under same circumstances (thats the 3 ltr) |

My Atric has just arrived and I am just waiting for my map to be sent. I hope for an improvement in fuel use, whilst with a Defender this is not high priority I often complete 3200Km runs on road. Any saving allows me to buy more toys ! Off road I don't really care what it uses, its that good.

seems to be the average but 27 so far with an equal mix of short trips and motorway hacks. The kids are back at school now so I'm expecting it to plummet with 2 trips of less than 2 miles a day. Atleast the 2 stroke oil should keep everything clean. I have noticed that even on cold starts and hard acelleration there isn't the faintest puff of smoke
