Thanks Mick, that is what I have understood to be a good move if required from looking at other threads.
I'd be interested to see just how balanced they are as is but might just go straight for the beads in an effort to avoid having to mess about. Your wheels look great. Hung my nose over the stainless nuts but ended up just going oem. Will look again at stainless asand when I get them on and fitted for balance, steering lock etc. |

At he end of the day they are big numb wheels on big numb truck so they won’t be perfect but it’s finding the best you can get.

Since having my last set of KM3s fitted I have been running with no weights and no beads, and no problems. You can always add beads later if you need to, and you may find that they don't need any balancing at first.

Click image to enlarge Well, I finally got round to popping the Blindo's on. Absolutely no issues with their balance, drives straight with no issues at all. Very pleased with the look and performance |

Hi 90 Dreamer The wheels balanced very well and drove spot on, so no problems there, they were second hand but all was good with them. Issue 1. When taking off the wheels to balance or change the tyre's, they would not come off very easy, it was like they had welded themselves onto the hubs, even the tyre guy's had to wrestle with them. So i thought that if i had a puncture i may not be able to get the wheel off by my self. Issue 2. This was purely my choice as the centre part of the wheel protrudes further out than the rim of the wheel so when i go green laning they are very venerable and got a few gouge's on them and would catch on most things. This is why i went back to the modulars, no more worries with them 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper. Clayton. |

sounds like they had possibly been powder coated / refurbed and then the centre bore was slightly too "tight" ??
a light Dremmel type work would have meant them being a good fit and easy to solve |
