I know, i have seen a few in budget but too far away to risk travelling and not buying.
A lot about the £12-14k price range, may have to save a bit more. The search continues |

Go for a late 300Tdi. Some say that it was the best engine for a Defender.

Perhaps true - but in my opinion the TD5 has the most character and means it can actually be bearable in modern traffic.
If the OP's budget was doubled I'd happily drive mine to him in Scotland! |

haha yea my budget is a bit tight for a TD5 but just bought the wife a new car so happy to wait for the right vehicle. Prices seem to vary a lot.
Viewed one last week which was a waste of time, needed loads of jobs doing. Viewing another next weekend which going by pictures/videos seems to be a good solid truck. Fingers crossed. |
