I believe they are plastic covers fitted internally . They are standard glass windows, the same as the Discovery commercial. Don't want to be a kill joy... But I'm not sure you'd actually be covered in an accident as the vehicle is now modified... You may get away with informing the insurance company?... But who knows...

Defender_UK - it might be worth a phone call to Lakeland Land Rover to see if they know Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Yep..I would inform insurance. It’s an animal welfare issue.... Thanks Tim, worth a shout.... Guy in Bolton reckons he can do it for 600£. Seems a tad expensive if the glass is there. 2020 First Ed 110. replaced by 2021 250 110 Commercial Defender_uk |

Blanked out rear windows in the D4 and D5 commercials were a real pain - I removed the plastic in both D4’s and the D5 as rear quarter visibility was rubbish and downright dangerous on some junctions.
The challenge with the Disco’s was getting the ‘normal’ car style window surrounds to replace once you had brutally removed the plastic infills. |
