Engine cover question
I have searched forum but no result.
The cover on the top of a 2.4 is held by two bolts and I assume, a rubber thing or metal spring. Whatever it is, mine has fallen off.
Anyone know the part number please?

It's a sort of rubber wedge-shaped prong thing that fits at the back of the cover and engages in a slot in the back of the cam carrier, as I recall. Also as I recall it is only available as part of the cover LBH500370 and not on its own, which is particularly unhelpful since the cover is around £50. It makes for a very expensive rubber prong.

I don't know if there is a Ford part number for the prong.

You can see the offending item in the photo below, at the bottom right.
