Pops out of reverse
My 08 plate csw seems to have a short throw on reverse, if I don't push it in with some commitment it just pops out again. Has anybody else has this issue? Is there an easy adjustment on the gate? All other gears are fine by the way.

Mine does that as well. A few times in reverse and once or twice in 2nd and 3rd. Going into 40k service soon will ask the dealers. Heard from some people it's due to lubrication as with different oils gear changes are much smoother and less "sticky"2012 Fuji White 110 Flattened

Does the gearbox ever not go into reverse - grinding gears? Have a Defender at the moment where reverse cannot be selected - Am in the process of swapping the gearbox for a second hand unit - vehice is a 57 plate with 50,000 on clock

Hi Chris,
It always selects, though now I just have to hold the stick longer until I take up on the clutch. The only grinding that has happened it over time me being lazy with my left foot and not pushing it all the way down. Perhaps that has caused this?
