24 spline diff center in a 10 spline housing
Sorry could not find a firm answer to my question:
Can a 24 spline diff center be fitted in a 10 spline housing using the 10 spline ring and pinion?
At what point were the splines on the pinion changed from the large 4 splines to the finer splines?

Thanks. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

yes, if the 10 spline housing is metric, to check this, look at one of the ends of the journal end cap bolts, if it has '8.8' on it, its metric,

yes you can use the 10 sp R & P

Thank you Dave. That is clear.
Plan is to try to build a spare unit from a spare center after upgrading to your locker Thumbs Up
I can possibly get a broken 10 spline unit for practically nothing (hopefully the R&P are still serviceable) Wink 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
