First check after handover
Hi Everybody,

i will get my Defender end of June and was wondering since I have never owned a Land Rover before, do you need to bring the car back after a certain km for a first check? I had that by my previous cars, would be interested if it is the same, and what precautions did you need to take at the first kilometers.

Thanks a lot!

Cheers from Switzerland

No, New Defender is like most other JLR products, no service supposed to be required until 24 months or 19000 miles.......... BUT you may need to go back to the dealer for warranty work on rattles / QC issues from the factory or optional extra bits you’ve asked for like the Explorer/Adventure packs that are dealer fit and sone bits of the pack on back order Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Personally, I would stick with 1 year or 15.000km service interval.

I’ve managed over 3 months without returning to the dealer!

1st Land Rover that I can say that for! 🥇

Needed the help of groups like this a few times to clarify and guide me. The LR info is poor. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
