I placed my order on 23 May for a 110 P300 HSE. I spoke to the dealer earlier this week. He said that once the order has been configured onto the system it goes into a holding pool for 7 to 10 days after which it gets allocated for production. In my case he said that the Vista system was showing arrival at the dealer on 13 September. Of course this may change but he said that he would get back in touch towards the end of July with an update.
I suggest that you call your dealer and ask what the Vista system is showing for dates. |

I placed an order on the 1st June, and received a email a week or so later with the build flow chart, with the car expected to be in the dealers on the 3rd September. |

That sounds promising, thanks. It’s strange there’s a few saying September delivery and others saying November.

Order placed early May, and still in the holding pool. Only have an 'estimated' date of late September. Defender 90 HSE 250D 2022MY - Gave up after two failed orders

Great- what spec did you go for? It looks to me JLR are getting their orders up together and/ or sorted their parts supply out. Was this a slot your dealer already had or a brand new order?

It was a new slot not one they had already. I actually went into a holding pool for a while.

Fair play! What a massive spec, it'll look great. You weren't tempted to go for the V8 seeing as you were presumably nearly there price wise?

Yes I was tempted, even to the point of locking it down but its just not the right engine for my use. Im sure its a monster to drive. Ideally it would be nice if there was a D350 as per the RR’s.

Well, with that spec, all the extras I’ve ordered would appear to be in stock around that build time too. I’ve ordered a 90, so maybe they are still due to be slotted for a later September date still. Who knows. But I’m the meantime there is still hope my current deliver date could be met, or even bought forward.
Excellent news your wait is down to less than two months now. Defender 90 HSE 250D 2022MY - Gave up after two failed orders |

My dealer was surprised at the shift forward too. Lets see if it changes in the coming weeks eh?
Hope yours gets built in timely fashion too! Who knows how it works? Well, actual Land Rover and they aren't going to share. Its a similar tale trying to get info on the replacement FFRR, no one is saying a word. |

It seems like higher spec builds are being prioritised. If they're restricted on production capacity by parts supply it makes more sense to produce £90k cars rather than £36k cars. I guess that's the same reason hardtop 90's are Nov-Dec build, they're a fairly low spec standard build and so price point.
