Foam insert bottom of screen...
Anyone else got the foam strip at the front of the dash/bottom of screen joint fitted wonky? Mine is not fitted straight. Not a big deal but slightly annoying.

Will it move or does it appear glued in? can you use a needle or similar stabbed in it to help manouvre and rectify it?

One for powerfuluk to do a video on methinks Thumbs Up Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

It’s stuck to the back edge of the dashboard. I tried to push it down, but glue seems quite strong. It’s really not worth hassling over to be honest.

If it means the dash has to come out to fix, I’ll live with it. I’d rather not have a new car with all the associated broken clips and potential rattles a dash removal might cause. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Mine obviously has the foam, not taken much notice of it so far to see if it looks wonky - too busy listening out for the brake noise I get! 2016 D4 HSE

I can see about 2mm of the foam on my “old” (ie very early production) New Defender but it is very evenly applied, straight and it looks like it it something to stop the dash tapping on the glass.
