It will be the first thing I’m going to investigate how to do once mine arrives in a few weeks.

Hi,
I’ve just tried our 90 HSE and get close to the above photo quite easily. I can get the back down, level with the top of the rear speaker, with the addition of a bit of weight / a load. I think it will get easier if/when the back seats have had a bit of use as it’s the seat back to squab arrangement that stops it going down more easily. I can’t seem to achieve any sort of “lock” in the lowered position. Shame they didn’t make them fully removable a la Yeti and quite a few other types. I doubt there’d be that many peeps that intend to regularly put humanoids in the back of a 90, would be really good boot space with car configured as a 2 seater. Then bung the seats back in if required, they’ve missed a trick there.

Hi,
I think, if you look closely, the rear seats of a 90 sit over the rear axle/diff/running gear. That appears to be why they don’t fold forward at the base and the alloy strip is there to stop small items/shopping rolling under the seat and being inaccessible. Someone posted that they removed the rear lower seat swabs - that brought it almost level.
Can not find that post. |

Well, if somebody could find that post (on a 90, not a 110), I would be very glad

So I checked and indeed you can remove easily the rear seat base.
Just a few clips, vertical traction and this it it. Attention - some clips might get loose and there are deep and narrow holes where they can easily hide Now seats fold flat or almost ... Ps. Still don’t understand why the system of the 110 has not been used here |

I’m speculating here but what is underneath the rear seats of the 90 (in the way of rear transmission) that because of the longer wheelbase of the 110 means that item is under the boot floor of the longer model and not under the seat base?
