I stand to be corrected but I think its just part of the engine 'calibration' - presumably only happens when it cold ambient / weather?

When very cold, meaning minus 5°C or so, and when the truck is thoroughly cold, I have a puff of blue smoke at startup. Stays like that for 10-20 seconds while slowly backing out of the driveway, but thereafter it immediately disappears entirely. When temps are positive it does not happen at all. Presume also a normal occurrence?
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

My 2.4 is the same in very cold weather, I keep an eye on levels etc and it goes within a few mins.
Could be a lazy injector but I’m not going to worry about it. Ride like you stole it!! If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |
