Sub-Frame and Slide Assembly - type of bolts please
Dear all,

I am in the process of separating the seat sliding mechanism from the seat sub-frame - essentially part MXC5778 separates into 2 parts. The lower part (the seat sliding mechanism) will be fitted onto 2 new front seats I have.

The 2 halves of the frame are held together by 6 bolts (3 either side per seat) - see picture below.

The parts manual only shows the seat sub-frame as a single element - so I cannot identify the bolts part number.

The bolt has a thread length of approximately 31mm and a diameter of approximately 7mm and, from previous posts on this forum, appears to be a pozidrive bolt.

Is anyone able to confirm what specification bolt I should be looking for?

Kind Regards

Neil

Looks very much like an ISO 7047 type head to me and would assume it is M8 but if the O/D is only 7mm then might be 1/4 UNC (thread pitch looks more like M8 1.25 to me though from the photo).

Can get stainless M8 with this head type from Westfield:

Hello Steve,

Thanks for taking the trouble to respond.

I'll go ahead and place an order with Westfield.

Kind Regards

Neil
