old problem - new question - seat subframe
Trying to remove the front seat slide assembly from the seat fixings. I have read a couple of posts on the forum and watched a few you tube videos.

I need to remove the 6 screws holding the seat onto the bottom sub-frame (3 bolts either side per seat). I have tried pozidrive fittings and have "turned" the heads on 2 bolts. i can't afford to spend £220 on 2 new subframes.

i am planning on trying to remove the heads from the bolts.

I have 3 questions:

1 has anyone done this before?
2 does anyone have any advice?
3 the parts manual does not break the subframe down into component parts - does anyone know if i can buy just the bits i need?

Kind regards

Neil

Have you tried an impact driver? Or you could weld a nut onto the head of any destroyed screws, the heat of the welding will also help to loosen them.
