I'm not sure which is photo "before" and which is "after", but the top one is how it should be, carpet above the floor panel.

That was my thinking. Carpet should be out.

Off topic, but slightly related. the 3 bolts on each side of the seat box that bolt to the sill channel, on Td5s the washers clamped the carpet.
On the later tdci, the carpet covers the bolts. Indeed, the carpet should be above the floor boards.. also not clamped by the self tapping screws that fix the floor board. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Didn’t know that either. Had rubber matting before, not all this posh carpet.
Think I preferred the rubber. Might swap it at some point. |

The sheets are fit tightly on the frame. Not that loose fit shown on that photograph I believe there was even some sort of mastic in between - but I have to look this up I have carpet and not the tiniest little trace of water inside Last edited by Julie on 20th Mar 2021 7:56pm. Though that was the case so have swapped both sides so carpet now on the top.
Anyone know who makes rubber version, so I can swap for the carpet? |
