A very good idea, anything that saves your back (getting old) is a good thing plus its very controllable.
However this will lead to a whole generation that will miss the thrill of potentially knocking out their front teeth, concussion and crushed hands...... Good find.. |

A must have item for the sort of person that uses a smart phone to control their winch.
Now, here's a thing for the mk2 version... A smart phone controlled, Bluetooth, electric jack. The price has just doubled |

I've pondered a similar idea using a wiper motor and worm drive gear.
However I'm not that technical so I filed it away in my brain as ' possibly possible ' |

With you in mind, they also have the... manual jack: Although showing it being used with an electric battery powered impact wrench rather defeats some of the point of it? Click image to enlarge |

It looks to be a better thought out implementation of a screw jack, I like the fact that they sell it with 2 different types of battery mount available (Milwaukee & Dewalt 18v)
Winding it manually, while possible, would be painfully slow I suspect |

A jack that was operated by a battery nut gun makes more sense to me. That way one power source does man6 jobs. If you jack vehicle then you are probably removing the wheel. If too lazy to manually operate, they are probably too lazy to use a breaker bar.

Don't forget that when looking at the vid in the original post i would say that this jack is aimed at the off road racers.
Light and fast in use. Not so much being lazy but fast and efficient. Think the UTV race at the recent King of the Hammers in February. Alternatively think of the jacking belly plate on the Bowler Wildcat. No need for the weight of a Hi Lift Jack, nor the safety issues of getting under the vehicle with a bottle jack. Like everything its having the right tool for the application... |
