The first thing is to get the outside and inside of the chassis clean enough for any of the subsequent treatments to work effectively. That will involve jet washing or better still steam cleaning and then thoroughly drying out. So if diy you are going to need a few consecutive warm dry days.
Where you can’t get the rust off by hand you can use rust removal or treatment products. I like the bilt hamber range. https://www.bilthamber.com/. Leave a few days then you can prime and paint with chassis paint. I like the corroless system , their primer and RF16 top coat https://www.arc-rite.co.uk/paints/automoti...t-products. Leave a few weeks to cure as per paint system instructions. After that it’s bilt hamber dynax S50 in the chassis, then it’s a choice of , bilt hamber, dinatrol or lanoguard as a top coat wax. Everyone has their favourite products so I expect buzzweld chassis paint will get mentioned, as will heavy zinc based primers, frost paints etc etc. All work well if prepped and applied correctly. |

Hi Mossberg
I'd really take it to an approved dinitrol centre. That way you're covered. https://www.dinitroldirect.com/affiliated-...directory/ You can do it at home, but without a ramp and a steam cleaner I'm not sure if you'd ever get the same "stick" |

Have you looked inside the chassis longitudinals ?
Land Rover chassis rust from the inside out so double check your chassis really is that good before splashing out hard earned on fancy wax treatments. Mo The Land Rover 90 - Many are called, few are chosen. 50 Shades of Pennine Grey |
