Yes, refuse your car and go elsewhere.
complete cowboys. bought 2x defenders off them and had nothing but issues - stupid things like telling me the rear door was replaced - my dynamat was still there with a scuff I knew about under the back door cover. Replaced bulkhead on my defender as rust got in seam, fair play to body shop for arguing it with LR but using silicone to hold one of the door hinge bolt's in place wasn't. Bought a brand new def from them one of the last as a keeper, told them in writing not to drill it at all for number plates etc... of course they drilled it. I refused the car. - I checked the miles as I was going to put it into long term storage - had 50 miles on the clock, "oh they all have that" went around the showroom checking other cars and all had between 12-15 miles. Absolutely do not waste your money here. wanted to buy a RR but couldn't stand dealing with them again so bought a RS4. Ncl have been much better, they actually humour me and understand it's a 5 year old brand new defender on delivery miles and treat it as if its a million pound exotic. (it arrives on a trailer and doesn't go outside) |

In that neck of the woods, for a main dealer, I would go to Hadwins in Torver, Kendal or Settle. They've had both our Defender and Disco Sport for repairs and service has been first rate every time.

had been wondering where the hell I could go. Just moved up to Dumfries from Pickering, where Hatfields had issues, but were generally ok.
Had thought might try Torver. No idea what the Ayr dealers is like. Just such a shortage around here!! 2020 First Ed 110. replaced by 2021 250 110 Commercial Defender_uk |

We're local to Torver and so it's very convenient. Down here in the SW Lakes is a bit far from anywhere though. It may be that, and the large number of Defenders of every age still working round here, that helps keep the dealership grounded.

I’d definitely get the coating refunded.
I told Cardiff not to drill my Heritage 90 SW No chance, got drilled then when I went nuts said it hadn’t been and put new plates over to cover it up 🤣 |

Can also recommend Lakeland at Torver, we bought a ''Brand New'' 4 yr old Defender last year, well looked after, and have just yesterday had our daughter finalise a deal on a new Evoque.
Very helpful to her all done via email/phone, and she lives in Nottingham. |

Lakeland at Torver or Mark Theaker at Kentdale, but Lloyds I'd avoid for vehicles. The parts guys are sound though. North Cumbria Search and Rescue - Team Leader

Definitely Hadwins. Back in the day I used to buy Series 2 parts there. Eric Hadwin has been in the game for decades and his guys know their stuff especially Defenders. I used to have my 110 serviced there, never any issues.
