Fitting gull wings to a panel van 110
Afternoon all got a bit of a question please . We have a panel 110 and we want to fit the larger front runner gull wing window to one side as we are doing a dormobile conversion.
The panel has what I’m assuming are stiffners along the panel the window will go across one of these can these be simply drilled out without major issues.

Yes, the frame of the gullwing will provide the necessary stiffness. Darren

LRA is right there, they are removed on mine as it has side windows fitted.

They are just there to prevent panel flex I would have thought due to area.
Fitting what you want to fit will make up for that no problem as the structural strength is mostly above and below.

Don’t forget to measure multiple times and cut once with this job. Thumbs Up ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Dutch Company Explore Glazing has a range of replacement windows, including gullwings and horizontally split windows for a hardtop 110.
Fitted them to mine two years ago.

Thanks! If only one day it would look as nice inside Laughing

I think these windows are a bit smaller in height than the SW type, which limits their maximum opening angle. There were a few times when I bumped my head against them quite hard.

One mod that I still have to look into is creating the possibility to open the latches from the inside.

Good luck with the build!
