It’s just marking it’s territory, and 2WD frees it up to cock it’s leg. Whistle Whistle

Demand has been so strong I'd be surprised if LR didn't take the opportunity to edge-up the prices a bit.
What metrics are you going by?
The fact it's 5 months from order to delivery leads me to assume demand is strong. And whilst there are quite a few available on auto trader, they're probably the 4 cylinder and are still holding their value

Still holding their value or over priced? I have a “favourites” page on my AT app with what I think are the best value Defenders and over the last couple of weeks none have sold. None, whether 2.0s or 3.0s. Plus long lead time may not reflect demand, just how production slots are allocated and LR are back to making lots of cars no-one wants. Whistle Whistle

Just sayin. Thumbs Up

So actual sales figures are to be ignored then, for supposition and guessing? Embarassed

I’m borrowing one as a loan car next week - two of the three the dealer had were sold over the last few days, so people are buying.

You loan car will be registered, so it's already been logged as a retail sale, as may other dealer stock. It's bespoke orders that are needed to push the figures to where JLR need them.

There's a world of difference between high demand pushing lead times out against low supply or "inventory correction" doing the same.

I stand corrected. I guess sales are pretty poor then. Maybe the 22MY will be to cut costs and try and claw back some profit. I appreciate this is more supposition and guessing, but I'm no expert, just someone who likes to discuss topics that interest me.

The cars on the Ukraine Video in another post are demonstrators....

The cars that JLR Uses on the Experience days get sold used throuh the dealers - could be mistaken as a demonstrator or Manager Car...

So you do need to be cautious - low mileage is no guarantee its not had a hard life....

Also note AT trader have 500k cars for sale. That the highest I have ever seen, it used to hang around 380-400k, there are more places to sell cars now for free, so logic is AT should be less attractive.

With lots of working from home and in cases NO work car requirements must be down. We run a fleet of about 150 company car drivers (excluding vans) over 20 cars have been handed back and people have taken the car allowance!

We are looking a dropping one (have 3 cars plus motor home) as we have got on so we’ll with just using the same vehicle all the time.

So I think demand is down on car buying as a principal.
