Td5 & Tdci/Puma Seat Frame Difference
Hi

Has anyone had experience with completely retrimming both Td5 & Tdci Front Seats. I'm wondering as to what the difference actually is in the the seat base and backs other than the the head rest pole mounts.  My seats are shot at and have the opportunity to buy the high back premium seat covers and foam set from a Tdci and was hoping if the seat base and back frames were the same to fabricate two poles by drilling through the top two horizontal tubes to secure the top part of the high part of the seat there not on show. Any help greatly apricated and any person with photos of a Tdci frame will put forward for a Knight Hood!

Seat bases are the same but the rear frame is not.

I accidentally bought a puma cover set for my std seats and it would not fit. The back frame is higher and a different design on a puma / tdci

The side bolster rails extend forwards more - the tdci seat is thicker as a result, as well as taller.

I drove a defender with the pre tdci seats for the first time in years recently and had forgotten how much better the tdci seat were compared to the old type!
