Hi there - when driving on road - do you use comfort or auto?

Do you get auto setting on the basic TR or is that just on the TR2 version? I’ve ordered the first edition 90 unfortunately it TR2 was not an option on that spec but does have configurable TR.
Also this is my first LR car with TR so I’m clueless to what the differences between TR, TR2 and configurable TR |

Only with TR2. There’s no difference between TR and TR2 other than auto setting and configurable TR allows you to set the vehicle up to your own preferences for the terrain you are on, more wheel slip, less wheel slip etc

Thanks J77. I seen on another post on this forum that someone has said every new defender has TR2 installed just not activated and that aftermarket companies are working on a software package to enable it. I’m wondering if people purchase the said software upgrade that if LR seen this it would void your warranty on the car? Also given how delicate the infotainment system is I would be worried that any tampering with software could potentially open a can of worms into problems with the electrics of the vehicle.

Need some clarification on the terrain response settings as I can’t find what I’m looking for in iGUIDE.
Can I switch from comfort mode to grass/gravel/snow whilst I’m driving? Also the same but in reverse order grass/gravel/snow and then back to comfort mode as soon as I leave snow terrain and get back onto tarmac road? Or is it a case I have to put the vehicle in park select the terrain response mode I want then drive off? First time I’ve used terrain response and with the coronaviris the dealership couldn’t show me how to operate the systems. Thanks |

Yes, changing on the fly is no problem. Just hit the button and turn the dial to your preference, or press it on the screen where it pops up.

On the factory ‘off road tyre’ option, which is a light all terrain - Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT.
Will probably get a set of BFG ATs when they are worn out. |

I had ordered those on my build but it came with all seasons so I got the Duratracs in the end. Haven’t really tested them yet but I’m surprised at how quiet they are on tarmac.
