D300 HSE
Defender #6 has been ordered...

Went for a 110 D300 HSE with some fruit (including the stereo and diff) in brown, ahem, 'Gondwana Stone'.

Dearly, dearly wanted to go Tasman blue, steelies and white roof but - in a departure from the norm from me - decided to put driveability of the daily ahead of aesthetics.

PowerfulUK towing eyes, some 255/65 Duratracs and a few other trinkets are already en route. Will see what the aftermarket comes up with in 18" flavour for the bigger brakes.

D4 went the morning it was advertised Big Cry

Bloody hell, I might as well be boring my other half with Defender-related chat! Rolling with laughter

The less interesting news is that I've now changed my preferred spec to Hakuba with the khaki interior, roof rack and arch protection.

The more interesting news came from my dealer this morning...

"At present Land Rover have placed all Defender orders into the holding pool awaiting build slots. I have a suspicion that this means the model year 2022 is being moved forward but I don’t have any confirmation of this."

I guess it's more than just the P400e on hold...

Looks awesome Ronin
I’m going to look at a 110 HT once we can go out and take a look although the difference in price for a commercial is only a few quid cheaper than a SW.
hope you get a build slot soon.

Woof. I haven't got the build delay warning yet -- mine's scheduled for March build still. I /did/ do the green (not blue, though like a Monty Python caricature I did flip flop with blue, no GREEN), white roof, white steelies. Guess I wanted looks over driveabilty, though that P300 is a gine engine.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. The missus has threatened to kick me out if I utter the word 'Defender' one more time... Rolling Eyes

The commercial/SW decision was just as difficult as that relating to colour. It's just the dog, me and 'er indoors, and in many ways the commercial variant makes more sense - I cringe at the thought of filthy bikes going in the back of a brand new car. That said, without a VAT registration, it felt to me that I was in danger of getting slightly less for my money.

@expatbrit - make sure you post pictures of your P300 when it arrives and make me jealous! I test drove the P300 and really enjoyed the experience.

Fingers crossed for everyone else's orders - it's just radio silence here Big Cry

What could possibly go wrong?

On my side, she’s looking forward to some camping trips in the mountains and having space for the Great Dane and more than one other bag. D110 P300 (now here) -- Pangea Green / white roof / white steelies / Off-road pack / towing pack / cold-weather pack / heated seats and assorted fun odds and sods
