How to open the vanes to wash the radiator
When PowerfulUK fitted their winch there were a lot of comments about how dirty the engine radiator was on their Defender........ well Simon has been reading the workshop manual and found a secret mode to allow gentle washing of the the radiator.

 Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Need to wait 20 seconds after selecting Sand Mode - before turning off - to give the flaps time to move.

Not sure I'd be wanting anyone to jet wash my radiator, those fins are mighty delicate.

Never been keen to jet wash any radiator I prefer to use the garden hose instead Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
