Unfortunately the video has been removed. I presume that its trip through the ford was uneventful? |

Morons is certainly the right word. I’ve no issues with people co*king about, even risking their lives doing it, but it’s the complete disregard for others or in this case ‘other things’ that gets my goat. That pond’s wildlife must love all that diesel, transmission fluid, hydraulic fluid and general detritus. As you say, morons. Disrespectful, ignorant morons. I'm slightly torn ~ didn't Camel Trophy, back in the day, do almost exactly the same thing?

I think that 'back in the day' is the pertinent phrase there. One of the reasons they fell out of favour was the perception of thrashing through somebody else's' country with little regard for the environment. Still fun to watch though. Darren

In the video there’s a Hyundai Ioniq electric crossing Rufford Ford. Generally elec does better in water than internal combustion engines. The rot sets in much later. JB @Lodelaner Instagram Youtube greenlaning and other LR related content |

"Cause: Various quality issues with regards to body sealing, harness grommet fitment."
And the kicker for a company that wants to look after it's customers: "please only repair the leak points as reported by the customer." So quote this SSM and say they all do! I generally don't comment on threads or posts relating to the new Def. - I just don't feel like I have any stake in it, so to speak. However those pictures above are quite striking. That's a lot of leak points for a brand new vehicle designed to be a class-leading off roader, isn't it?
Are these supposed to be sealed in reality, but leak due to poor quality control? Isn’t this a design feature, you won’t need to open the door and flood the compartment to regain traction should it start to float... Ride like you stole it!!

That is shocking. I’m still amazed that a company run for a decade by a German who learnt his trade over 20 years working for possibly the best built cars on the planet (BMW) never managed to get on top of QC, arguably JLR’s greatest reputation failing, during his tenure. Surely that should have been the first thing he addressed? Instead they still bounce around the bottom of the reliability pile. And now they’ve got someone from Renault, who haven’t had the most illustrious history in reliability... Monsieur Le Grenadier

To be fair modern quality control has nose dived in the last few years with the 'leading' german brands now seem far the worst offenders......

Irritates me that LR use the word "concern" in all of these kind of notices/responses/advisories when we all know the correct word is "fault" or "failure" but of course that would infer an admission of something that's LR's fault and we can't have that now can we?
