Anyone know the current rating of the load contacts of the above switch...hoping to not have to fit a relay for an LED light rated 1.25 A...

The heated seat switches of the same design, switch around 7A - so, this switch should be more than capable of switching 1.25A
You should be aware that this switch switches to earth. There's a wiring diagram, showing how to wire this switch, here - http://www.defender2.net/forum/post6360.html#6360 The design of this switch will cause you problems if you want the switch's tell-tale LED to work, as this is normally fed from the output side of the relay, to pin 5 of the switch. Without a relay, it's not possible to have the tell-tale illuminate when the switch is on. I would suggest that you get a Puma heated seat switch (YUF500150LNF), which costs around a fiver new. Swap the switch front from YUG00540LNF on to the switch body of YUF500150LNF (they both use the Black 5-way switch connector) - and you now have a live switching switch, in which the tell-tale LED is fed from the output side of the switch (pin 4). A diagram for YUF500150LNF can be found, here - http://www.defender2.net/forum/post306063.html#306063 . Paul. 1989 Arles Blue 2.5TD 110 Hardtop 1999 Epsom Green Discovery II 4.0 V8i 'XS' |

When used for the rear fog light, it's in conjunction with a latching relay. The function isn't built into the switch.

Latching electronic circuits are available, if you don't need or already have a non-latching relay.
This is for upto 1.5 A: https://www.conrad.com/p/tru-components-sw...pcs-701240 |

Has anyone come across a problem i have found. I am using the YUF500150LNF defender heated seat switch. I have a wiring diagram showing pin 1 perm live, pin 2 switched live from dash lights, pin 3 unused, pin 4 live switched output to accessory and pin 5, earth/ground.
Everything works, apart from when i push a live into pin 2, the green LED doesnt come on. The amber one works fine as does the switch. I have tried a second switch and the same thing happens. has anyone else come across this? |

It certainly sounds like it should work Have you tested that you're actually getting 12v from whatever feed you've taken from the instrument lights? Not sure in that case, I'm afraid. As you've tested two switches, it suggests there's something more fundamental with the way that you're making the connections but it's difficult to be more specific. Darren
