I enjoyed that video. It did mention all the most successful and iconic 4x4 brands, and put them in context with each other.

That was fairly impressive as one long monologue whilst avoiding slipping down muddy banks. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I know it's subjective but I think the original Range Rover should have been on the list in place of the Merc.
Much as I love the G-Class, I'm not sure it would exist if it hadn't been for the Range Rover. Perhaps Ineos didn't want to feature JLR too much in their video |

I don't think it was done as one shot. After she hopped the stream, she passed behind a tree before climbing the bank but in the wide shot later on with the old vehicles in the back ground, the tree wasn't visible. I suspect it was a cut in much the same way that the film 1917 was pieced together. Agreed, the original(Classic) Range Rover is definitely an iconic 4x4 and a significant milestone in the development of the 4x4.

I think they were going for a global angle, perhaps to appeal to any potential global buyers ("why did they leave out X/Y/X from my country?!"). |

I thought an icon was the event when Apple tricks customers into buying unnecessary new 'phones.
I wonder if in the fullness of time that particular prototype will be known as the centre-wiper prototype, in an 'omage to the near-legendary centre-steer Land-Rover prototype. Incidentally amongst all the legend an BS surrounding the original Jeep, I have never heard anything to suggest that you could wash with the coolant before. They did generally run with antifreeze I think.... |

"Here are a bunch of 4x4 vehicles that were good in the last century. The company who paid me to make this video claim theirs is good as well". WARNING.
