It’s not the first time I’ve done this... I used to have a V8 Ninety made from a n/a diesel Ninety and an RR Classic.

Exactly as-is. We just took the roof off for easy access for rust removal and painting. He’s only a teenager so will have to wait until he has some money for proper mods!

A longer answer to your fairly abrupt question... the 90 (Ninety if we’re being picky) has been a slow burn but given that my son is 13, we’ve got almost 4 years to go so I’m ok with that. Dashboard has been re-done, with rust removal, filler and re-covering with vinyl.
Click image to enlarge We’ve put in a Mud console and have replaced the main dash pod housing and instrument panel. Ambition is to have it back on the road in a year or so. I tried to start it at the weekend and nothing doing (other than turning over) so we need to check the spark etc. |

Am I missing something? It has a 3.9 V8. Did you read the post or are you just writing random stuff?

ah hang on, my mistake there, it should have said you want to fit the TD5 steering wheel. technical error on my part there  Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Let's get this thread back on track...
Looks like a great project, I hope your Son realises he's fortunate to have an encouraging Dad. At 17 I brought home a slightly ropey Mk 1 Escort Mexico and got nothing but grief 
You've got a great base for an awesome truck, I'm sure there'll be a few who'll appreciate that a v8 90 as a first car is nothing but a winner. Watching with interest. |
