potential fuel leek sounds like there is no fuel on start up hence why its ok after one day but longer after being standing . can you here the pump running if so see how much longer it runs for after being stood a few days before starting

Could also be the starter motor on its way out...lots have had this issue....I'd recommend replacing it with a Bosch one

Dont think theres an electric pump on a 2.4. Could be a leak giving an air lock though or dodgy / not tightened filter?

I have just had a heap of things checked for a similar intermittent starting problem.
One is the sensor and valve at the end of the fuel rail. The second, which cleared the problem, was the fuel pressure valve that is on the fuel pump, simple unplug old one, plug new one in, cost about £90 though. |
