Best photos I've seen of the these.

Does anyone recognise this as being a particular make or is it a new pattern created by Ineos?

Is doesn't appear to have as much "meat" in the top edge as in say the Unwin brand:

It's difficult to tell without a better picture but it would seem to be counter-productive to not use the Unwin-style track as it's so widely used. Darren

Am I being a bit thick?
What is the point of an adaptable securing points on an opening door at the widest point of a vehicle, just where anything strapped to its would get wiped off and cause maximum damage to the bodywork?

roof - yes
cargo area - yes
bonnet even - yes

Can't work that one out.

Can you fit a set of foot steps to it to then access the roof rack or roof box?

Just a thought.....

I suspect it's one of those things where people will find uses for it that haven't been thought of yet. Darren

They’re for lights and other lightweight stuff, for manly tasks like camping.

I can just imagine the insurance claim.

Q - Can you explain the explosion, subsequent fire and loss of life?

A - It was the other cars fault, he hit my jet ski fuel and camping gas cylinder

Q - I though he hit your front door on the narrow lane?

A - Yes!

They look utilitarian and that is perhaps a selling point for them in everyday use.

You also have to look beyond everyday usage of vehicles though and how they are adapted.

Some folk ( including myself ) have been on journeys for weeks and never seen a road and although i can't really imagine a need for something like this, if it was there, i'd use it to hang a washing line from or tarp cover or even a foldaway shelf for sure.

Never knew you had travelled to Norfolk Rolling with laughter

Laughing apart, great mounting position for a camera or for use whilst camping. Depending how strong these are, could be used to fix a form of side protection maybe?

I suppose it's one of those things that you will find a use for when you have it.

You could have the French flag hung on one side and the German flag on the other.
