Heated seat wiring / FCX kit
I've got myself an fcx wiring kit to wire up the standard half leather heated seats on my td5 90. One query though, are the standard defender xs seats heated base and backs? Both the bases and backs seem to have a connector each coming out of them (at least there are 2 plugs per side, 1 with a yellow band one plain black) however the wiring kit I have only has 1 reciprocal plug per side unless I'm missing something?

Basically do I have heated seat bases and backs and can I wire up both using the fcx kit? Laughing

Cheers!

Presuming your seats are standard and haven't been messed about with, there should be two leads coming from the backrest.

The lead with the stripe plugs in to the squab and the other plugs in to our kit

This gives you heat to base and backrest

Now need some cold weather to give them a good go!

Hi,

Old thread resurrection here but looking at re trimming and new foams on my 04 td5 non heated seats in the new year at some point.
I am thinking about adding heating to them and want a factory finish so looking at the td5 fcx loom kit but what heater pads would I need to buy to plug and and play? I see Exmoor trim do an oem heater pad kit with oem plugs so would this match up with the td5 fcx kit?

Thanks

Mike
