How to build a 110. Start off with a 90, stretch and add doors & seats. |

On the assumption that there are only the three vehicles you can see in the stack, the total lift and hence load on the rear eyes of the top vehicle is around 7 tonnes (3.5 tonnes per attachment) and the load on the front eye of the top one will be around 5 tonnes, which really isn't much and could easily be exceeded in a hillbilly recovery, snatch tow, or an ill-conceived winch recovery. It is an eye-catching photo, but in reality a triumph of impact over substance.
I don't think there can be a fourth one in the stack since the nature of the rigging leaving the bottom of the frame is so different, I think that those are just tag lines to stop the "windsock" blowing around in the breeze. It does have an aroma of Photoshop, but I am inclined to give it the benefit of the doubt until proved one way or the other. |

^^^ Well, there you go, not photoshopped anyway. A slightly odd way of rigging, but clearly it worked.
I have not had the misfortune to see an episode of Top Gear since Clarkson et al left, and I am surprised that the BBC appears to have been able to make it even more moronic and unappealing than ever before. I won't be watching any more of that! |
