United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black
One for the Nugget airbox owners
Found a load of aluminium corrosion on the spigot where the turbo intake pipe connects. When I pulled the pipe off, I found a load of white aluminium oxide powder in the pipe. I don't think it has gone any further, I just dislodged it when I removed the pipe. I cleaned it up carefully and treated the spigot with ACF50 in an effort to prevent its return. If you have one of these airboxes, it'd be worth checking.

Thanks for the update, I will look at mine tomorrow to check.

I’m assuming some moisture has got in there to cause that level of corrosion.

What about cleaning up and spraying spigot with a clear Alloy Wheel Lacquer to seal against moisture ingress.
