Pentland did me a favor then by leaving the protective tape on my kickpkates and after almost 5 months ownership no signs of damage/scratches on the tape. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Meanwhile, the PR man from JLR does the Twitter equivalent of shouting "Oh squirrel"

Dear ⁦@GarminUK⁩ why does this happen to your watch straps? This is the 2nd in one in 6 months.

If it were a £60,000 JLR product that had failed then the response from the manufacturer would be that it wasn’t being used correctly............ pots and kettles? Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

Ahh yes driving style, been there. My driving style must’ve improved as I’ve never had an issue with the Velar nor did I have issues pre Disco 5.
