I’m not taking delivery, it appears there’s a shortage and they’ve stuck anything on to get it out. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Yeah it’s been sitting on bricks Laughing

Dealer hasn’t even offered to swap them for set from their 110. They don’t seem to care because steels are a no cost option. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Nightmare! This happened with my build but they offered to let me choose any wheel of my choice so I did that.

If your dealership is willing to pay these guys had OEM steel wheels set of 5 with Goodyear wrangler tyres for around £1200

I’m waiting to see what they come back with, I’m not a fan of those wheels. Other than that the car looks fab and I was set to collect it Monday afternoon. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Only other suggestion is if they let you drive it with the 19” wheels until they can get steels and then change them over FOC

What annoys me is they are taking orders for factory builds but don’t have the parts to complete the build. I’m still waiting on parts 2 months after taking delivery and 3 months since it arrived at the dealership. I understand there’s supply chain issues but if the parts aren’t there then they shouldn’t be available on the configurator. Very annoying when people are waiting 4/5 months only to be told the vehicles turned up but not in the spec you ordered...might as well just buy dealership stock.

I could not order the Comfort and Convenience pack at time of order as they had supply issues - later I could add it to the build..

So they do make an attempt to stop you ordering..

Don’t you just love the way JLR dealerships make their parking bays wider than those found in the real world.

Most of the parking bays round this neck of the woods, the white lines line up with the outer edge of the front tyres.

With the wife’s Velar It once took me three attempts, not to park, but to have a space that I could actually get the door open enough to get out, and that was only because one of the cars to one side was a Fiat 500.

They should all be Costco sized, with the 18 inch wide double white line gap - can you imagine how much money would be saved in the reduction of car park door dings and associated premium rises? Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Me too. I am a bit peeved about it because I was not told to add it later when I perhaps could have. I got the impression it was discontinued end of. When things settle I might try and fit the cooler box myself.

J77, after your waiting, I’d take delivery and like said, sell or swap those wheels, but I do get your stance. It might force the dealer to do something. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Man. I know I'd want the white steels that I ordered on it, or at least a written commitment that they'd swap them no cost. Especially since it's a zero-cost option, etc.

What a saga. D110 P300 (now here) -- Pangea Green / white roof / white steelies / Off-road pack / towing pack / cold-weather pack / heated seats and assorted fun odds and sods
