TD5 BinOwl computer
I was just trawling YouTube and stumbled across this thing
Sounds quite interesting, gives similar information to a Nanocom would??
For circa £50, and the need to make a customised box to hold & mount, I’m quite tempted and added my name to the queue 👍

Looks like a handy bit of kit. Smaller than a Nanocom 1999 Defender TD5 110

Hmm, just been on the website, and it seems it’s been discontinued.

The old-style circuit board (brown pcb) has been discontinued. But the new style small PCB still current, but out-of-stock:

Looks like an old nanocom to me.
Except the fuel consumption part but the nanocom can do more things. I think there must be a few old nanocom system lying around not being used.

However if I didn't have a old nanocom I might be interested. Roel

I bought mine for €50,- but it doesn't want to connect to a computer.

Even that you have to make a housing etc. What is not for everybody. It is not a bad price. Roel

Can you elaborate? When you say "computer", do you mean like a laptop (and not the Td5 ECU)?

My nancom com has a serial port, and it doesn't want to communicate with a laptop.
It communicates with the ECU. So I can do almost everything what the BinOwl can do plus faultreading etc. Roel
