Tell her you won it, was given it or some other excuse. They really are cracking steering wheels.

Love the genuine leather ones on mine, but they are no smaller, which is fine by me, but personal choice obviously and they seem to be increasing in price Rob

I think the Startech suits a standard Puma best but it doesn't look at all OEM. As mentioned above a leather genuine one would be best if that is what you are after. If you want a smaller wheel take a look at Momo's offerings. They may not match the Puma interior as well Startech but most have a nicer feel and use better quality materials. Another option is to buy a Raid wheel and get it covered. I think that is all Startech did. https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/sport-steering-wheel/ WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

Startech is worth it, even if you have to wait for a secondhand one (I did!). I do like the classic old wooden ones from exmoor too. James

Can you imagine this post being on the 2020 Defender thread
Not a dig at the Defender as any car with an airbag and the multifunction controls virtually makes it impossible for a bod in a garage to make such a change. But then no one fits Fordson Major size steering wheels anymore I like the standard XS steering wheel on mine and I have not ever wanted to change it, but if I did, I would go for the Startech as I like the look of it over others. The wood one that Exmoor do is a thing of beauty, but it isn't very compliant in the event of an accident (not that I would really want to head butt any steering wheel by choice). |

Have a look at Mountney. A varied range from a classic look to modern with lumps and bumps and respectable prices.

I have been looking around at various options so thanks for all the input
I think I am almost there and will go for the Startech one last question though as this will mean me having to change my Disklok to a smaller one and one option I am considering is the quick release set up, its only about £25 more than buying the wheel with a new Disklok just not seen one in situ and not sure how it looks and how much more it sticks out/up Defender D250 HSE Dender 110 XS - sadly gone VW Polo VW Caravelle - Gen 6 |
