What is the paint like on the inside of folks wagons? I`m especially interested in the inside at the back end in 110s, around the seatboxes and inside the panels where the windows go.
Is this paint as good as the outside of the vehicle, or otherwise? Lets hear your stories please. Thanks. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

The colour coat is thin and orange peel in places. You sure it's not lacquered Zag? Steve.

Might be, just doesn't feel as smooth or shiny as the outside - maybe I'll give it a polish . I can only look at the sides not the seat boxes as it's covered in carpet
Whats the problem Dan |

In short, I am not happy with the paint finish on the back end of the vehicle, particularly the seat boxes and around the fuel filler tunnel, but I am trying to establish if this is just an issue on my vehicle, or if they all come like that. The paint seems to me to be thin, spotty/orange peel texture, with undercoat showing through in spots. 2011 110 USW

^^^Sounds about right, some are better than others but the best are nowhere near as good as they were back in the day. Steve.

Seems pretty poor considering how much the trucks cost! 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Heard back from Landrover customer service, factory warranty dept doesn`t see anything wrong with the interior paint, "thats how they come". Frankly thats pretty shocking, considering Landrover like to see themselves as a premium manufacturer, just chucking a bit of paint in the general direction of the interior seems to be sufficient. I had the centre mats out earlier and I noticed that the paint on the forward face of the rear seatbox is also crap, and in the front wherever you look under the cab matting.
Poor show from Landrover methinks. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

I bet if you start looking under the carpets in any other manufacturer you will only see undercoat

Under carpets I can live with, on exposed metalwork its just not good enough. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

I`m sorry, but I don`t understand, I am talking about the exposed metal as seen inside a USW. I dunno what the xs and county are like, but there is a lot of bare metal inside a base version. I think Landrovers answer that "most people board them out" is irrellevant, the vehicle should come from the factory in a finsihed state. Even if the other manufacturers do this little bodge, Landrover should set an example. Premium product my rear end. Thankfully the rest of the truck is pretty good. I should also point out the dealer have been fine, its the factory warranty dept who refused to cover the work. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Yeah, I`m not really worried about that, its the lack of paint on the visible sections I am concered about. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |
