Hybrid build location
Anyone know if PHEV versions of the Defender expected to be built in Nitra still? Or are all PHEVs built or finalised somewhere different alongside other PHEV vehicles?

No big deal just wondering... Cheers, David

They’re all built at Nitra.

Very impressed with the build quality of my D5 way better than the 5x British built discoveries I have bought over the years last one had 13 snags at delivery handover all down to just not being put together with care. The Slovakian D5 just feels well put together. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

Yep not in any way worried about quality or anything...

Was just wondering whether all Defenders got built together, or if there was a separate PHEV production line somewhere.

I wonder whether when EVs start coming out, if there’ll be a separate EV factory somewhere, or if all factories building vehicles with EV variants will have to be fooled up for it... Cheers, David

will be interesting to see how they handle EV if it were my firm investing millions in new production facilities in the last 5 years I would be expecting it to be designed "EV Ready" but I guess its Land Rover so who knows. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

EV won’t arrive until it switches over to the MLA platform, if it ever will.

United Kingdom 2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS DCPU Keswick Green
And even then it's an agnostic/compromised platform designed to take 3 power options rather than bespoke for BEV.
