Completely off topic! Beresford and Hicks Dining Room Furniture Sadly my Dad has had to go into a care home, and we have the difficult task of clearing out the family home (since 1976!). My parents bought lovely dining room furniture from Beresford and Hicks, I remember it was very expensive at the time. It's beautiful furniture, and seems a shame to just let it go to a house clearance/charity shop. There are two large sideboards, an extending dining table, and 6 chairs, all bought in the late 1970's as a set. They have had very little use (we had a dining-kitchen for family meals) and are in fantastic condition for 40 years old. The table was always covered with a protective matting, so has no fades or damage whatsoever. Only the fabric on the chairs shows any sign of age that I can see. The sideboards are free standing, and have cutlery drawers, and cupboards. There are two units each of them is: 193 cm high, 91 cm wide, 45 cm deep. Top of the sideboard separates easily from bottom half for easy transport The Table is extending, with 6 chairs, but extends to seat at least 8. They're in Sheffield, S35 1WH. It would really suit a certain type of house. Maybe someone on here deals in such furniture could advise the best way to re-home it? I'm going to guess a value of around £500, but ideally looking for a good offer for the whole set. Even a couple of decent bottles of Malt would be classed as fair payment on collection Would just be happy to see them go to a new home Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |
