Puma Rear Safari Door Replacement
Can anyone give any feedback/advice on what is the best rear door replacement. Genuine LR are about £711 plus vat - not out of the question but is there anything of equivalent quality?

The issue with mine is the spare wheel has hit the light guards and buckled the door, surprisingly it still works as it should but I would like to get it replaced.

This type you mean? Any decent Land Rover place should be able to get you one, maybe one 9f the forum sponsors?

SP are super helpful, but as I found out, their puma safari door is actually the one panel that they have made in China. It’s a single stamping (at least prior to fitting the skin) so needs a big press. Their other panels are all (I believe) hand made in the U.K. and very, very good.

I ended with an original new Land Rover door.

Looking for a replacement rear door for my td5, as it’s starting to show its age.
I’ve heard from a few people how disappointed they were with a genuine replacement. I’m tempted to try Britpart Shocked half the price with 2 year warranty…… more than genuine! As mentioned above SP are another option. Heavy duty galvanised ones seem to be unobtainable now. The Irish chap(hairy monster man) appears to be no longer trading?? Opinions invited please

I put an aftermarket Britpart one on a Puma in 2014 to replace a bent rear door, it is still in very good condition and was indistinguishable from the original door when fitting, I wouldn’t hesitate to fit another one

That's a shame about hairy monster man, my door from him is still superb with a wolf rim and 33" mt hanging off it several years later !

I haven’t seen Robert in ages (hairy monster man) but last I heard he’d gone back to the 9-5 world, think he was still doing bits here and there at the weekend. He’s on here as ghound. https://www.defender2.net/forum/member-ghound.html , try sending him a PM. I’ll call in next time I’m passing, I only have his home telephone number and I’m not giving it out sorry.

I don't know who you spoke to but the genuine doors both front and rear are the best available and certainly fit much better than any of the aftermarket offerings.
